The Elimination Chamber PPV was historic, this year since the beginning with the confirmation that it will host the first-ever women’s Elimination Chamber match. But, that did not leave the officials to underrate the original men’s division matchup. This year, the prime championship was not on the line. Rather, it was arranged to crown the number one contender for the title.
After a series of matches that was hosted on WWE Raw over the past several weeks, several superstars were chosen for this match. John Cena, Roman Reigns, Elias, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor are those who got the opportunity to compete inside this steel cage structure.
The first five names mentioned in this contest won their respective matches to head on to this match. But, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor were inserted, at the same time after they became the co-winners of the last qualifier matchup. This made a seven-man lineup for the Elimination Chamber which is a first-time in the history of the company.
