WWE News: Controversy Surrounds With The Sasha Banks Vs. Bayley Match On Raw 1

Sasha Banks and Bayley’s rivalry goes way back in their WWE career. They have been part of the four horsewomen stable back in the NXT division. During that span, they have delivered some memorable matches that have worked as the inducer of the then “Divas Revolution” that has now converted into the Women’s Revolution.

However, they were not been part of a full-fledged storyline ever since coming down to the main roster of the company. While Sasha Banks was shifted to Raw in 2015, it took one more year for Bayley to emerge on the flagship brand. Ever since this happened, the fans have always wanted to see the reincarnation of this rivalry for the Women’s Championship but that still did not come to fruition.

Instead, they have been part of some random singles matches, this year apart from teaming up on numerous occasions. This past episode of Raw witnessed them locking horns against each other to determine the number one contender for the Raw Women’s championship. Sasha Banks was the favorite one while heading into the contest. She also owed a rematch since the champion got herself disqualified at the Great Balls of Fire PPV.

But, quite surprisingly, Bayley pulled off the shocker by pinning the Legit Boss of the WWE. The crowd got shocked and upset at the same time since they genuinely thought that Sasha would have got the much-deserved opportunity, whereas, Bayley has failed to win the championship in her earlier title matches.

Meanwhile, a tweet surfaced on the internet suggesting that Sasha Banks’ shoulder was up during the referee’s count which means she did not lose the match. Considering that there is a major fan backlash going on over her loss, WWE might use this as a storyline angle and change the outcome of the match on this upcoming edition of Raw.

The Boss has not stated anything regarding this brewing matter. For now, the match between Alexa Bliss and Bayley has been announced by the company, already. It will be interesting to see whether they make a change to it or not.
