WWE’s worries with injury circumstances are not coming to an end as we head to Wrestlemania 35. The Smackdown women’s champion Asuka is reportedly injured following a show, last night. There’s still no confirmed update on the severity of the injury. But it could definitely take her out of the Fastlane match card. This is the final PPV event prior to Wrestlemania set to happen on this Sunday night. The women’s title from the blue brand will be on the line as per earlier announcements.

Huge match confirmed for Fastlane 2019

The Shield to compete at Fastlane

Asuka was up against Mandy Rose in a singles contest on last night. Mandy Rose was her opponent in this pre-Fastlane match that ended in a nasty way. ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ put her championship on the line against ‘God’s Greatest Creation’ Mandy Rose in the live event took place White Plains, New York. She was able to walk out as still the champion but not in a clean way.

Mandy Rose slammed Asuka hard on the head as the match was in progress. The referee stopped the match seeing that the champion was unable to go. He signaled the cross sign leading the medial officials to arrive from the backstage area. They examined Asuka for sometimes before carrying her to the locker room. This keeps us wondering whether she is okay heading towards Fastlane.

WWE is yet to make any officials announcement regarding the Smackdown women’s champion. We hope to get an update when the weekly Tuesday Night show airs tonight from Wilkes-Barre. Until then, a post from Asuka herself has come up with something positive on this whole situation.

Who will Asuka face at Wrestlemania?

She confirmed of not picking up any concussion or a neck injury, for now. But that does not mean her availability at Fastlane championship match against Mandy Rose. It is a fresh match over the title that was announced at last week’s Smackdown. Hopefully, WWE does not have to change the lineup.

This is just a filler feud over the Smackdown women’s championship for Fastlane. We will have only four weeks prior to Wrestlemania within which Asuka should expect to receive a bigger opponent for the biggest event of the year.
