Daniel Bryan received a huge opportunity after his current rival got out of the equation.

Two weeks ago, he got a chance to qualify for the 2018 edition of the MITB ladder match. Rusev was his opponent in that match. Proving everyone wrong, the Bulgarian Brute picked up a huge win over the fan-favourite superstar.

Our primary thought was that the officials are likely to carry the Daniel Bryan-Big Cass feud till the MITB PPV event. But, that came to an abrupt halt.

The seven-footer suffered a knee injury in a bygone House Show of Smackdown in Munich, Germany. So, he is in no state to compete inside the ring.

It also took him out of the scheduled qualifying match. It was going to be Big Cass vs Samoa Joe for the last qualifying spot for MITB. The GM of the show gave an opportunity to Daniel Bryan with one of them being medically unfit to compete.

She announced a dream match for the fans on the show. The former GM of Smackdown was up against the current United States Champion.

Both the competitors were happy after getting this match. They both expressed their excitement for competing in this match. We could not imagine seeing this match happen, ever. But, Daniel Bryan himself stated he had a long list of superstars lined up for competition.

So, this match turned out to be the main event of Smackdown from Worcester, Massachusetts. Jeff Hardy tried to capitalise with his high-flying moves.

But, he missed both his pendant moves, Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb off the top rope. Daniel Bryan dodged both these shots to lock in the heel hook on the champion. The reigning US Champion had no option but to tap out.

Daniel Bryan has emerged to the last qualifying match for MITB 2018 edition. It will take place, next week. The bad news is that Samoa Joe will be his opponent.

The Destroyer seemed more than ready for the upcoming match. He already cut a promo on the show clarifying that YES movement will come to an end. So, the universal babyface superstar better gets ready to go to sleep.
