The in-ring comeback for Daniel Bryan was an emotional one for each of the WWE fans. They stood by this popular superstar during the tough time.
After months of the indomitable spirit of the all-time great, he was finally able to do what he does best, and that’s competing inside the ring.
However, the prior medical clearance is not likely to be the only thing concerned to compete. Instead, an impact test is necessary for the former WWE Champion to track down his health status after every match. He has been participating in numerous such matches in the past. It would happen until the doctors feel that it’s no more needed.
Check out the updates given on the situation by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter,
“The only difference between him and every other wrestler on the roster is that part of his agreement when getting WWE to send him to leading neurologists of Maroon’s choosing to get evaluated, is that he agreed, after every match, until WWE was comfortable that he was okay, he would go to the WWE doctors backstage and get Impact testing and a neuropsychological evaluation done.”
Daniel Bryan had his last match in a WWE ring on the April 16th. Subsequently, it came during an episode of Smackdown Live of the WWE’s United Kingdom tour in the year 2015. On that night, he teamed up against none other than John Cena to take on the team of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd who were tag team champions at that point.
From that point onwards, the medical team did not allow him to compete anymore due to the neck concussions.
The officials kept him off from the WWE TV since then until he was forced to announce his retirement in 2016. Prior to the Wrestlemania season in 2016, the most popular superstar of this generation let his fans know of his incapability of competing in a WWE ring, ever again. It was the official retirement of the veteran in-ring technician which was hard to digest for the fans.
Daniel Bryan tried hard to convince the WWE officials to let him allow to compete, again. He got checked himself up on numerous occasions by several renowned doctors around the USA who did not find any issues on his neck. And hence they had no issues while clearing him up for wrestling, again.
Following these outcomes, the medical team of the WWE had no issue to let him compete again.
