The Shield competed in the very last match in the WWE as a team on this past Sunday Night. It was a rare instance to see a televised show which WWE Network dedicated to the most popular faction of the WWE. The trio of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins performed as team for the final time that was a real emotional scene for the WWE Universe.
Huge match announced for Roman Reigns
Wrestlemania main eventer not returning to WWE
They were able to pick up the victory against the heel team of Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley. It was a predicted win for The Shield which did no ire much of the attention like the departure of Dean Ambrose did. This was officially his last televised match in the company after which there’s no certainty on his pro-wrestling future. This raises questions among the fans about what could be waiting for him, next.
Dean Ambrose is leaving the WWE despite being one of the most popular superstars of the company. Michael Cole interviewed The Shield trio during the WWE Network special event and tried to focus on this exit issue of the former WWE Champion. He responded in a meaningful way to the voice of the WWE and made some interesting comments about his pro-wrestling future.
Title match confirmed for Money in the Bank
The inevitable question from Cole to Dean Ambrose was what’s next for him. He took no time to note on this context and said people putting words on his mouth makes him feel frustrated. He was probably taking a shot to the speculations that All Elite Wrestling could be signing him following the WWE departure, with the below statements,
“Let me stop you right there because I already know what your final question is gonna be, okay? And I don’t appreciate people putting words in my mouth, and I don’t appreciate people trying to tell the story of my life to fit their narrative, okay?”
Dean Ambrose then went on to clarify the fact that money can’t buy him. It is an already reported fact that AEW might have offered him a huge deal to join their banner. It may be even much bigger than that of WWE letting him work in a much flexible scheduled. But that means nothing to the WWE’s Lunatic Fringe,
“Eight years ago, I walked into this casino. And now I’m cashing in my chips, and I’m walking away from the table. I won the game. And what I do with the rest of my life from here on out, is my business. I answer to no one. This time, the million dollar man didn’t get what he wanted. Cause I can’t be bought.” (H/T CagesideSeats.com)
The former WWE Champion may be irate because the company did not utilize him fully in comparison to his potential. His brothers Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns reached the spot of headlining Wrestlemania like caliber whereas Dean Ambrose had to be in the mid-card scene. Hopefully, he becomes with his career from now onwards with whatever way he’d like to move on.
