Dolph Ziggler is one of the most popular wrestlers in today’s WWE Roster. Before landing on the big scene in WWE he was a regular face in collegiate wrestling in his early days. He has been an amateur wrestler from Kent State University. During this period he achieved most wins in the history of the college. During the year from 2000 to 2003, he managed to gain 121 wins.
If you remember, during his feud against Baron Corbin one of the segments featured a technical wrestling match which showed some images of Ziggler’s amateur days from the university. Not many of his generation have such a technical wrestling background like him and so the University decided to felicitate him with some due honor.
As per a report from wrestlingINC.com, Kent State Athletics has decided to induct Dolph Ziggler into the 2016 Kent State University Athletics Hall of Fame. The announcement was made last week and Ziggler took his Twitter handle to let it confirm to the world. The program will be the annual 38th ceremony of the University and is all set to take place on Saturday, September 17th.

Dolph Ziggler signed a contract with the biggest wrestling promotion in the world in 2004 and after two years in 2006, he made his debut as a member of the spirit squad. The faction proved to be an utter failure and Ziggler was re-packaged as Dolph Ziggler in the year 2008. He’s been a constant member of the WWE roster since then.
He started at the mid card level by winning the United States, Intercontinental and tag team titles for multiple times. Since the beginning, he acted as a heel persona. In 2012, he made it big by winning the Money in the Bank ladder match. On the night after Wrestlemania 29, Ziggler cashed in his contract to become the World heavyweight Champion.
