After moving to the blue brand, Dolph Ziggler got his chance to the main event. While we thought that he will be given a chance to shine as deserved, he came up short after stealing the show, once again. He will be facing the Miz, for the Intercontinental title at the No Mercy PPV where his career will be on the line.
Many speculate that Ziggler will end up winning the match to get back some respect but that might not be the case, here. Insider rumors suggest that Ziggler’s contract is all set to expire after No mercy and hence stealing the show will not be enough for him. So, the Miz’s never-ending Intercontinental title reign will continue, as of now. He is not happy at all with his position in the company and has already decided to leave. WWE wants him to keep in a certain capacity like a backstage trainer or a veteran role but he might not look for that kind of opportunity.

The Nature Boy, Ric Flair admitted on his podcast that Ziggler’s contract has expired and hence he will call it a quit after No Mercy. Quite interestingly, Dolph posted a cryptic tweet hinting that he is indeed quitting aftermath. Although, this might not be true since such tweets are only used for promotion purposes.
The future advertisements show that Dolph Ziggler will be present at 11th October’s Smackdown Live taping. But, he is not advertised for the next episode on the 18th and moving forward. This certainly means that he will be present on the show to address the crowd for the final time.
Ziggler should not be worried about his future since it will not be hard for him to find a new job in any other wrestling promotion given that the incredible talent he is. Plus, he is also a stand-up comedian which he can pursue full-time.
