The team of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler returned to WWE Raw as a team.

Ziggler belonged to the Smackdown brand doing nothing for a long time. His current partner, on the other hand, used to the former NXT Champion. He joined the NXT brand after leaving Impact Wrestling promotion last year. WWE was his next destination.

There’s never any doubt that Drew McIntyre has always been the absolute favourite of Vince McMahon. Triple H brought him back in the company as per the wish of his father-in-law. So he received a tremendous push after entering the NXT roster. It was back at Summerslam 2017 weekend where he won the NXT Championship.

The dominant run came to an abrupt halt after suffering a bicep injury in the fall of 2017. The medical team kept him under rehab process before bringing him straight to the main roster of the company. Dolph Ziggler formed a team with Drew McIntyre to make a statement to the other members of the roster.

We hoped these two would soon get into the tag-team championship scene. But the current updates are not indicating the same. Wrestlingnews.co gave us an update stating WWE creative team will most probably break this team quick. Giving a singles run to Drew McIntyre is the sole reason behind this.

The source pointed out in a recent interview hosted by Renee Young to the tag team. Drew McIntyre remained silent for the entire time while his partner did the talking. Here’s the notable thing behind this behaviour pointed out by the source,

“Following the battle royal, Renee Young interviewed the duo and Ziggler did all of the talking. McIntyre stood silent and chose not to say anything but some fans have looked at this post-match interview as a sign that McIntyre will be turning soon on his tag team partner.”

Vince McMahon has always been very high on this Britain-born superstar. He launched this man with the ‘sinister Scottman’ gimmick back in the last decade. The Boss also thinks that Drew McIntyre has all the tools to become the main event of Wrestlemania in two or three years. So there’s no doubt that WWE will start building him keeping an eye to this goal.
