WWE News: Edge Reveals Why He Can Never Wrestle In The WWE 1

Edge retired from the WWE in the year 2011 owing to an unfortunate neck injury. The night on April 11th, 2011 will always be remembered as one of the most heart-broken nights in the history of the company. The 11-time world champion had just been over with his successful Wrestlemania Championship match against Alberto Del Rio at that point.

But, his neck was giving him serious troubles. Upon MRI, the WWE doctors declared that he couldn’t be medically fit anymore which means he had to go away from pro-wrestling, forever. Nobody had even the slightest hint about this happening, and pin-drop silence surrounded the entire arena.

Now, unarguably, Edge is one of the most beloved superstars in the WWE. Even after leaving the company, he was back in a couple of short storylines in the WWE despite not being able to wrestle. That reflects just how much the fans want him back in the squared circle.

However, it’s that one thing that he can’t ask. In recent times he is hosting his podcast alongside Christian and opened up about his comeback context. In a clear message, the Rated R Superstar stated that the WWE doctors had banned him from wrestling, forever. So, there’s no chance that he is ever going to wrestle again. Check out his comments:

“I appreciate that people always ask me, ‘oh, so you’re going to come back for one more match, right?’ It’s a huge compliment that you want me to come back for one more match; however, it can never, ever happen. The WWE has medically disqualified me from ever wrestling again, so for those listening, that’s the way it is, but I appreciate you wanting more.”

Speaking of his home brand, Smackdown Live, Edge revealed that Jinder Mahal is getting the push that Randy Orton has got 15 years ago by working with the big names like Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple h and more. WWE might be looking forward to doing the same with this Indian-origin superstar, and he is quite confident that Jinder will do justice to his role. This is what he has said about the current WWE Champion:

“Anyways, you do see the confidence Jinder is gaining and the small time lapse of trying to think of what to do next instead of going with instinct are starting to happen. That ability, and timing, and not second-guessing yourself is beginning to assimilate in, and you can see it happening.”
