WWE News: Emma to Take on James Ellsworth in an Intergender Match 1

Both, James Ellsworth and Emma are two former WWE Superstars. They were released almost at the same time from the company.

Late 2017 brought them the bad news of getting released from the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world. It happened despite both of them possessing a huge fanbase by their side which was a huge shocker.

Ellsworth had a dream run in the WWE after signing a contract in 2016. He was kept in a valet role for Carmella for a long time on the Smackdown roster.

This helped the Princess of Staten Island to get elevated on the roster. Her partner was the sole reason why she was able to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase. Furthermore, their pairing was quite fun on the blue brand.

On the other hand, Emma had all the tools to be what it takes to be an elite women’s champion in the company. However, due to worse booking and numerous injuries suffered by the superstar, she never received the chance to compete in the title picture on a constant basis.

This continued for a couple of years before she got released, finally.

Now, as per the reports of stillrealtous.com, these two superstars have been booked in an intergender match in an independent circuit match. Big Time Wrestling promotion will be conducting an event on March 30 where these two will have a showdown in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Co-incidentally, Ellsworth’s last match in the WWE too, was an inter-gender match where he competed against Becky Lynch.

Check out more updates on the match from the source,

“Other stars set to appear at the event include Mick Foley, Mark Henry, Hurricane Helms, Tony Atlas, and Gillberg. It’s interesting to note that Emma is being advertised as Emma, as she recently returned to the indie scene in a match where she used her real name, Tenille Dashwood.”

As you can see, Emma was referred in the same name that she used in the WWE. This is an indication that WWE did not claim the rights over her gimmick. The same goes for Ellsworth, too. Previously, rumours suggested Emma declined to compete in a match against Ellsworth. However, this new report wiped out all of that.
