WWE News: First Championship Match Confirmed for WWE TLC PPV
Oct 4, 2017 at 3:23 PM
Alexa Bliss has a dominant outing at the No Mercy PPV by winning the fatal-five-way championship match for her title. She defeated four elite superstars from the Raw female locker room to retain her title that gave a boost to her confidence. So, on the Raw Talk show following the PPV, she went on to deliver some nasty words about Mickie James.
Now, the former Women’s Champion was not part of that match, and so Bliss never defeated her in a singles contest. So, last week’s WWE Raw marked the beginning of the Mickie James vs Alexa Bliss feud over the Raw Women’s title. It was a fresh kind of feud considering that the veteran female superstar never got singles shot at the Women’s title, till date.
This week, the six-time women’s champion was looking for the current champion at the backstage area. Bliss delivered her one more insult by gifting a walker for the so-called ‘old lady’. Furthermore, she bumped into Nia Jax to have a matchup between the two of them.

The veteran probably had Nia’s number inside the ring considering the big woman was down for a significant amount of time after eating a super-kick. But, she could not capitalise since Alexa Bliss interfered during the match.
The Raw GM, Kurt Angle was quite impressed with this much resistance showed by Mickie James. So, she was given an opportunity to the Women’s championship against Alexa Bliss at WWE TLC. Later, WWE.com confirmed the same with the following quotes,
“Mickie James will have the opportunity to reclaim her former glory and capture her seventh Women’s Title when she steps into the squared circle against the very formidable Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at WWE TLC on Sunday, Oct. 22.
Like her or hate her, outspoken four-time Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss can back up every word she says in the ring. However, does Mickie James still have what it takes to overcome the crafty champion and reclaim her spot at the top of the mountain? Find out what will happen, Sunday, Oct. 22, at 8 ET/5 PT.”

Alexa Bliss was not at all happy with this news and went on to blast her scheduled opponent on the Raw fallout show as seen above.
