WWE News: First-Ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match Announced 1

Just after the historic Royal Rumble PPV, the women’s division of WWE Raw received another ground-breaking news. They will be competing in yet another history-making match, next month.

For the first time, the women superstars will be getting a chance to compete inside the Elimination Chamber structure. The Raw-exclusive PPV is returning in the last week of February.

The announcement was made by Stephanie McMahon on last night’s WWE Raw. It was stated that being the Raw women’s champion, Alexa Bliss will be defending her title against five other women from the roster. The winner of this match will head towards Wrestlemania with the title around her waist. Check out the updates from WWE.com,

“At WWE Elimination Chamber, the women of Raw will once again make history when five brave competitors challenge Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss for her illustrious title in the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match.
The monumental news came from Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon just 24 hours after the groundbreaking Women’s Royal Rumble Match, and the winner of the career-altering showdown will defend the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 34.”

The Elimination Chamber match is one of the most barbaric structure concepts innovated by the WWE back in the last decade. The entire cage is made of pure steel chains with four pods inside it to lock in four WWE Superstars inside it.

In combined, six men participate in it. So, the rest of the two male athletes start the match.

Every five minutes, a superstar gets released from the pod and added to the match. The match continues with superstars getting eliminated via general pinfall or submission rules. The last one to remain unpinned gets declared as the winner.

Over the years, we have seen some devastating moments to take place inside this structure. So, the female superstars were never allowed to enter the structure, till date.

But, in the midst of Women’s Evolution, there’s nothing that the women can’t do. So, they will be given a first-ever chance to compete inside this structure on February 25th.
