WWE News: First Name Declared to Feature in Women’s Royal Rumble Match 1

The status of the WWE women’s division was taken to the upward direction with a path-breaking announcement on this past edition of WWE Raw. Initially, it was expected to be a six-woman tag team match where the team of Sasha Banks, Mickie James, and Bayley took on Paige, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose.

But, the match never came to a culmination with a huge brawl breaking inside the ring. The Absolution was looking forward to dominating the scene, once again with the number games being in their favour. However, Nia Jax hit the ring alongside the other remaining members of Raw women’s division to level them.

Since all the women present on the roster were there in the middle of the ring, Stephanie McMahon appeared and came up with the confirmation about the first-ever Royal Rumble match. The pro-wrestling industry has been going ga-ga about it ever since the announcement broke out. Following Smackdown Live, we now the first entry to this historical match.

Charlotte Flair was out to cut a promo on the show while she promised to remain The Queen of the women’s division by holding the title until Wrestlemania so that she can face the first-ever Rumble winner. During this promo, Naomi hit the ring to have a friendly conversation with the champion when she made her intentions clear.

The former two-time Smackdown women’s champion stated she would be the one to enter the Royal Rumble match and win it to challenge Charlotte for the title. After this, WWE.com confirmed that Naomi is the first name thrown into the Rumble mix,

“Charlotte Flair simply wanted to make it clear that she would be ready to defend her title against the winner at WrestleMania 34.

Hearing those words, Naomi hit the scene to let The Queen know that she was going to be the first Superstar on Team Blue to declare for the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and that the titleholder should expect to see her in New Orleans.”

Naomi picked up the momentum already by her side with a big win on Smackdown; She was the one to pin Sarah Logan to pick up a win on behalf of her team. It also derailed Riott Squad’s momentum to a big extent.
