WWE News: Former Divas Champion to Feature on Dancing with the Stars

Nikki Bella, the longest reigning Divas Champion in the history of the WWE, is out of the company for quite some time. At Wrestlemania 33, she had the biggest moment of her career when John Cena bent down on his knees to propose her. Once she got officially engaged on live television, she was forced to take a hiatus from the in-ring competition.

As we all know, she is dealing with a serious neck injury which was surgically repaired, last year. So, she will not be able to feature in full-time WWE schedule, going forward. With that being said, we would see more of her in the reality TV series and less inside the squared circle. So, it was quite obvious that she was busy with the filming of Total Divas and Total Bella on the E Network.

According to the recent reports, Nikki Bella will now join the star cast of the Dancing with the Stars show on ABC Network. The news was up on the rumour mill for quite sometimes. It was confirmed on the Good Morning show where the entire star cast was revealed. The professional dancer, Artem Chigvintsev will be Nikki’s partner on the hit show.

In case you don’t know, this will mark the 25th season of the popular reality TV series on the ABC Network. It will start airing from September 18th onwards. The timing will clash with Monday Night Raw on the USA Network. However, this appearance will earn some mainstream attention for the WWE.

The official website of the company gave us some updates on the new role of Nikki Bella which is as follows:

“Nikki Bella is temporarily hanging up her wrestling boots for ballroom dancing shoes as she officially joins the celebrity competitors on Season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars.

Fearless Nikki will waltz into the ballroom with professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, who will also be dancing for his first Mirror Ball Trophy. The official cast announcement was made Wednesday on “Good Morning America.”

Alongside Nikki Bella, some other names will also be involved, and some of the names are of NFL star Terrell Owens, Barbara Corcoran of “Shark Tank,” actor Frankie Muniz, and married entertainment personalities Nick and Vanessa Lachey.
