WWE/Indie News: Former WWE Superstars Coming Back To India In February 1

Following the WWE Live event that was hosted back in December, now another show has been announced in the subcontinent. This time, it would not be a show booked by the WWE. Rather, an indie promotion will come to India with multiple veteran names from the pro-wrestling circuit. Some of them used to be former WWE Superstars which is why they are immensely popular in our country.

According to a Facebook post, an Encounter’ 18 show will be hosted in February in India. Rey Mysterio will be headlining the event that will take place from Khalgaon, Udaipur. On 24th of that month, the Masked Luchador will come back to perform in the subcontinent after a long time. Check out the updates from the organising promotion,

“Encounter ’18 – The Biggest and One of its kind of Wrestling Event first time in the history of Rajasthan.
Get ready to watch your favourite WWE Superstars wrestle live in front of you.
Feel the heat on 24th February 2018 at Khelgaon, Udaipur.”

Contact number is given on the post to learn more details on the event and book tickets, as well. Alongside, the former WWE and world champion, our very own, The Great Khali will also be a part of the show. However, it is not clear whether he will be wrestling at the event considering he retired from in-ring competition for the last couple of years.

Former names like Ryback, Chris Masters, Alberto Del Rio, John Morrison and Bobby Lashley will be joining the show, as well. All of these have been main event superstars from the WWE which is why the card is said to be stacked and even bigger than the WWE house show, perhaps. Alongside them, female names like Santana Garette, Katies Forbes will also be seen wooing the Indian fans.

With these kinds of shows getting hosted in India, the nag of public watching pro-wrestling shows are likely to increase. Rey Mysterio has been immensely popular amongst the fans of India during his WWE stint, and hence, he will turn out to be the main attraction of the show. More details regarding the show should be released soon as we are less than two months away from it.
