Dolph Ziggler is in the center of attention despite not being present in the WWE programming. We have previously reported that his days to stay under the biggest pro-wrestling banner may have already ended. With a number of other indications following that, the rumors are just getting stronger.
We have seen Dolph Ziggler during a steel cage match on WWE Raw. It was the final episode of the year 2018 on 31st of December. Drew McIntyre was his opponent who won the match quite convincingly and destroyed him, thereafter with four Claymore kicks. It was a way to write him off the TV from a creative perspective.
SportsKeeda.com has revealed that Dolph Ziggler might indeed be out of the WWE for multiple reasons. It’s not that he is only absent from WWE Raw programming. He misses a number of house shows before working in a triple threat match against McIntyre and Balor. This could be his due bookings to run the existing contract out.
Also, Shinsuke Nakamura might have introduced him to some NJPW officials. The former world champion always showed interest to go to the eastern region of the planet to explore the newer territory. He has nothing more to prove in the existing WWE roster that will deal with fresh and young talents. So Nakamura may be working as the middle man to let him sign a contract with the NJPW.
The source also pointed out that merchandise selling outside the WWE could be yet another big hint of leaving,
“Another piece of the jigsaw that is Ziggler’s future that suggests he’s leaving WWE is the arrival of Dolph Ziggler merchandise in Pro Wrestling Tees, typically contracted WWE Superstars will sell their merchandise through the WWE Store. The fact Ziggler is now advertising his Pro Wrestling Tees selection suggests he’s no longer with WWE.”
Alongside this, Dolph Ziggler is already out of the 32nd annual Royal Rumble event. He has previously announced to be on a tour with his comedy team to host a number of shows. This rules him out of the upcoming Wrestlemania picture, as well.
Reports also surfaced that WWE may have offered Dolph Ziggler for an amount of $1.5 million. But the show-off confirmed of not accepting this as his current contract expires soon. The company also wanted him to work in the role of a backstage producer if his in-ring career is over. But he turned it down as well just to make his leaving intentions clear.
