Brock Lesnar will have an opportunity to become the new WWE Champion on the October 4th. It will be an auspicious night where Friday Night SmackDown premieres on Fox trying to become more mainstream. He will be the prime attraction on the show competing in the main event match against Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. This will also be his first match on WWE’s weekly TV show after almost 15 years.

Matt Hardy Reveals Whether The Hardy Boyz Will Be Back

Now the general theory on this match over Smackdown TV is that WWE will continue using Brock Lesnar to boost viewership. They might showcase him as the face on Friday Nights from this point signifying a title change. Lesnar is the undoubted favorite to become the winner pinning Kofi Kingston and thereby capturing the WWE Championship. There can’t be a better mainstream representative for WWE other than The Beast Incarnate.

But the insights around Brock Lesnar representing Smackdown may not be fully true. WWE is definitely advertising him on more Smackdown shows down the line than RAW shows, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will be beating Kofi Kingston for the title. There’s also no confirmation whether he will be moving to the revamped blue brand, permanently.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE is just trying to sell as many tickets as possible for their upcoming events. The best way to do this is to make Brock Lesnar the centerpiece of any poster and they are just doing it, continuously. There’s no definitive word at this time whether The Beast Incarnate will become a full-fledged member of the SmackDown roster from this point, (via ringsidenews.com)

“We were told this doesn’t necessarily mean Lesnar is going to SmackDown, and that it simply could have been booked because they are trying to sell more tickets for TV shoots with a lot of weak advances.”

The fact that Paul Heyman is the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw makes it unlikely that Brock Lesnar will stay on Smackdown Live. So for now, we have to wait for the return of the WWE Draft on October 11th on Smackdown Live. It will continue over on October 14th episode of Raw that must be deciding the fate of the biggest box office attraction of the WWE.
