Recently, Stephanie McMahon appeared on ESPN Sportscenter to discuss the Wrestlemania event. She said a lot of things including the origin of the biggest spectacle in the sports entertainment. That led the interviewer Elle Duncan to ask her about the originator of the Women’s revolution for which WWE is extremely proud for.
As Stephanie always said previously that women’s empowerment is a global thing and WWE is taking it forward. This is why the company is focused on bringing more in-ring talents rather than focusing on the eye-candy Divas.
She pointed out a match in 2015 on Raw which lasted only for 30 minutes after which #GiveDivasAChance became a worldwide trend. That’s the first time it was noticed by both Vince McMahon and Triple H and they decided to push it forward. These were Stephanie’s comments for the innovators of the Women’s revolution:
“One, my husband, Paul Levesque, known as “Triple H”… he’s in charge of all our talent development. And what he wanted was to recruit the most elite athletes in the world, male and female, and he wanted to give the platform to really train.

Then in NXT, the women were actually given the same amount of time in their matches on television as the men, which had never really happened before. On the executive side, a number of us had been advocating for this for a long time”.
But, a legendary Diva seemed to have disagreed with the choices made by the WWE COO. Former WWE Diva, Gail Kim took twitter handle to let her disagreement know. In her view, The TNA Impact Wrestling has come up with the idea, long ago.
My opinion is @IMPACTWRESTLING did. No shade just truth and my personal opinion. I never got my opportunity till then and it’s never stopped https://t.co/5HbWH1DNbX

The Diva has become a veteran by performing all across the pro-wrestling industry has been part of some brutal matches during her stint in TNA.
She has earned the Knockout title for six times and her opinion does matter a lot to many.
Plus, it’s a fact that TNA has offered gimmick matches around their female roster members a long time ago in the last decade. But, since WWE is the pinnacle in the pro-wrestling league, only their campaign was promoted louder.
In case you have forgotten, Gail Kim was a member of the WWE roster in the past decade. She won the women’s championship once back then. She left the company in 2010 to join the TNA Impact Wrestling promotion and became an iconic name, there.
