The WWE has managed to bring the much-needed star power of both Goldberg and Brock Lesnar for next year’s Royal Rumble event. This is going to be the 30th anniversary of the event from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Now, prior to the event, the WWE will look to fully utilize both in order to hype the event. This will definitely help to sell out a record crowd of more than 65000.
A report from cagesideseats.com suggests we will witness Goldberg and Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw for more than once in the month of January. The plan is to have a confrontation inside the ring before they enter into the prestigious Rumble event set to take place on January 29. So, we definitely will not have to wait until then to see these two going at each other.
The latest reports also suggest Goldberg will attend the first Raw of 2017 i.e. on 2nd of January from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida to kick things off for the Royal Rumble PPV. Lesnar, in turn, is expected to be back at the next edition of Raw. The confrontation is supposed to take place at the go-home show for the Royal Rumble PPV on January 23.
Apart from appearances on Raw, Lesnar is advertised for three live events in the month of February. He is also being booked for three Raw episodes i.e. 4th of February in Utah, 17th in Dallas and March 10th in Buffalo, New York.
However, neither Goldberg nor Lesnar is advertised for the Fastlane PPV which is going to be the last before Wrestlemania. This will be the next Raw-exclusive PPV after Roadblock which will take place at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since this PPV will pave the way for the Wrestlemania feuds, we expected both of them to be present. So, in future, the plans might be changed for the Fastlane PPV.
