Roman Reigns is set to be back on live television after a hiatus of three weeks at the Payback PPV. He was last seen on the April 10th episode of Monday Night Raw where Braun Strowman delivered a brutal assault to him. He toppled an ambulance with Reigns already loaded into it.
As a result of the torture, the Big Dog had suffered a cracked rib and separated shoulder. But, quite expectedly, this misfortune was cheered by the fans since they would not bear to see Roman Reigns on Raw for a series of weeks.
Ever since he defeated The Undertaker at the Wrestlemania 33, the negative reactions towards him have gone on to reach to a different level. There are no doubts that the crowd will welcome him at the Payback with massive booing.
Recently, Goldberg had a sit-down with Eric Bischoff on the later’s show named ‘Bischoff on Wrestling’ and spoke up about the matter. The former Universal champion stated that he really does not understand from where such reactions come around.

Goldberg also mentioned that the audience has really changed from the time he was a full-time wrestler. He was amazed to see how people want to thwart Reign despite his similarities with The Rock.
This is what the Myth quoted while talking to his former boss from WCW:
“These fans are completely different! When I went out there … you always have an alternative worst case scenario for what you’re going to say and if you don’t you’re not prepared. The crowd these days, they like to be the ones who say “hey, look at me.” They like to dictate what’s going on and when they voice their opinion, it’s deafening.
And they, for some reason man, have a disdain for him that is completely misguided because as you say, he oozes talent and oozes star quality. He’s like Rock, physically and … he’s a good guy, too. How the crowd thing is handled is, I don’t know. I feel for this guy. I just don’t get it.”
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns is having a tough time with his real-life brother Rosey passing away on this past April 17th. He will have an even tougher task in hand upon return, as he has to face the ‘Mountain among Men’, Braun Strowman, on this Sunday.
