WWE News: Goldberg Says Negative Reaction Would Not Affect Him At Survivor Series

Goldberg received a heck of cheers that he could have expected when he returned on Monday Night Raw. He was supposed to be the face of the confrontation between him and the bonafide heel of the company Brock Lesnar. In fact, his promo was related to being a superhero for the kids one last time.

However, the premise drastically changed, when Brock Lesnar made his return on Raw in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The crowd started cheering for their hometown hero and turned on Goldberg chanting, “Goldberg Sucks.” Even the loudmouth Paul Heyman failed to turn them on against Brock Lesnar. The situation went out of control and Vince McMahon had to cut the promo short due to negative reactions to Goldberg.

This also led us to the main event of Survivor Series, which is going to be contested in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Goldberg has been booed by the insane fans of Toronto since he ended Bret Hart’s career there. So, there’s a great possibility of him getting booed again at the Air Canada Center.

The former WCW franchise had an appearance on Jim Ross’ podcast and discussed the topic by saying that he does not care at all about the fans’ reaction. “At the end of the day, I hope everybody has fun. And if I just so happen to get booed, then, I am surely not going to go out and end my life because of it. At the end of the day, it’s other people’s interpretation of your act at that moment, so if I get booed, then, I’ll take it out on Brock more so than I’m doing already. And I believe that that’s what we wanted to do to each other when we were booed the last time we met.”

Goldberg also said the match should exceed the expectations for the fans. He is taking all kinds of martial arts training to get ready for going against the beast.

“So just because I’m not up on my hitting the ropes skills, don’t mean that I don’t bring something to the table that will far exceed expectations as far as violence is concerned, so that’s what we do, man.”
