WWE News: Goldberg Will Compete More Than Once Before Wrestlamania 1

As per the previous reports, Goldberg extended his contract with WWE for post-Survivor Series appearances. He signed a deal for a combined 13 appearances in WWE events including two matches in Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. However, there’s some good news for the fans as we are getting reports of him involving in one or two more matches prior to Wrestlemania.
There were some changes to the planning in the recent past after he saved Raw ratings from going down further by appearing on the first episode of Raw of 2017. He appeared as a special guest on the Kevin Owens show and hinted some more options for the WWE while confronting Roman Reigns or the Universal Champion, Kevin Owens. WWE fans gave a positive nod to the segment leading to the change of course for him.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has stated that Goldberg will be appearing on the last PPV before Wrestlemania in March. It is the Fastlane PPV set to take place on March 5th in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is also said to compete in a match on that night, as per the source. The opponent might be decided in due course. The arena of the PPV has started advertising him locally to promote the show.
Meltzer further stated that the TV ratings have been a major factor in Goldberg’s booking. For the entire month of December, the Monday Night Raw ratings were stuck into an all-time low and Goldberg pulled it up at the beginning of 2017. WWE is looking forward to using him in more capacities. This is the reason why we can expect him to see in more matches.

The veteran journalist also denied from confirming the Goldberg-Brock Lesnar match at Wrestlemania 33. He feels that in the upcoming months, WWE might make some big changes in his schedule. This would certainly update the Wrestlemania match card. Confronting both Owens and Reigns was a part of the planning and the creative might decide to go with either Goldberg-Owens or Goldberg-Reigns feud in due course.
