WWE came up with an exciting announcement for the Middle East fans in recent times.
For the first time, there will be a secondary Royal Rumble event in WWE schedule. It is not going to be another PPV event. Instead, it is going to be a live event hosted by the country of Saudi Arabia to entertain the fans.
The event has been named as The Greatest Royal Rumble where most of the superstars of Raw and Smackdown Live will be seen performing. The advertisement of the show is out which is advertising several names.
This includes the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Triple H, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Shinsuke Nakamura.
In combined, it is going to be 50 superstars to take part in this event to make history. The King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Friday, April 27 will be the host of this unique experience. Since this is a live event, the chances should are less of seeing it on live television or in a taped version.
However, the fans, surely do not want to miss such a match where the who’s who of the WWE roster will perform. To make them excited, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has recently given updated stating that the program is likely to be televised.
According to the previous updates, the show might have been reserved for the Abu Dhabi fans, only. A local airing was supposed to air. But, the source recently stated that WWE Network is going to air the Greatest Royal Rumble event. Check out the quotes from the source, (courtesy RingSideNews.com)
“It’s not official. I presume it’s a network special. I suspect it will air live. It will probably be a bad time slot, but you can watch it whenever you want, so it’s no big deal. It’s going to be taped for something though.”
WWE has always aired some of the special live events on their exclusive video platform. This grabs more subscribers for them. The Beast in the East was such an occasion. There are chances that USA Network might also air this biggest Royal Rumble event,
“It will either be TV or network special. I don’t know if it could be or will be a USA Network special but it’s possible, but it will probably be a [WWE] Network special.”
Previously, Abu Dhabi had witnessed the first-ever Women’s Championship match back in December 2017. The audience of the city caters as one of the biggest fanbases in the entire world. Hence, they would continue to get special treatments like this. WWE has signed a new deal to ensure this for the fans in the Saudi Arabia country.
