Brock Lesnar is not present in the WWE programming ever since Survivor Series has passed by. He is the marquee attraction of the show which is why WWE uses him in a strategic way. He only makes some sporadic appearances on the shows that become a must-see. We assume that the next time we will see him will be at Royal Rumble.
There are some confusions about his current contract with the WWE. UFC is also likely to have some sort of deals with Brock Lesnar that is still intact. It means appearances inside the Octagon may also happen in due course. The Dirty Sheets Podcast revealed some insider scoops about the deal that Brock Lesnar might be possessing.
The source stated that Brock Lesnar has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with UFC to face Daniel Cormier over the UFC Heavyweight Championship. The fight was likely to take place on December 29, 2018, at UFC 232 PPV. But the fight never happened since Brock Lesnar told UFC that he may not be ready to face Cormier by that date.
The next speculated date for a potential Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Cormier bout can take place on March 2, 2019 (at UFC 235 PPV). But chances are very low that the fight takes place on that night. The Universal Champion has stopped preparing for this fight, several months ago. Plus, his booking at Wrestlemania 35 might also be a bar in UFC appearances.
Chances are heavy that Brock Lesnar will defeat Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble 2019 PPV. He would go on to WrestleMania 35 to feature in a main-event match. Seth Rollins is the rumored name to be his challenger for the Universal Championship at the biggest event of the year. He will be the one to take the title away from the beast incarnate.
Additionally, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Brock Lesnar has never extended his deal with the WWE in recent times. He receives $500,000 for a PPV match and $100,000 for each appearance on RAW. Here’s more on the deal courtesy of wwfoldschool.com,
“Lesnar last signed a contract extension with WWE in April 2018 for image rights for 12 months (so that WWE can use him for action figures, T-Shirts, video games & more). During his previous WWE deal, Lesnar got paid $3.1 million for 5 PPV matches and 10 RAW appearances (2 RAW appearances to promote each PPV).”
