WWE Smackdown started just where Monday Night Raw left us with the Money in the Bank storylines. None other than Roman Reigns came out talking about having some unfinished business from the earlier night. Predictably, The Miz joined him in the ring providing the backup. Soon, Shane McMahon and Elias arrived on the ramp introducing two more names who have hate reserved for the two babyfaces.

Daniel Bryan and Rowan showed up making the number games in favor of the heel superstars. The four of them ganged up on Roman Reigns and The Miz to dominate. But the backup was underway in the form of The Usos who soon arrived from Raw on Smackdown. They helped his cousin and Miz to clear the ring and stand tall. This allowed to set up a huge tag team match.
Shane McMahon teamed up with Elias, Daniel Bryan, and Rowan to take on Roman Reigns and The Usos on Smackdown. He banned The Miz from ringside. Elias hit the Drift Away on Jey but Jimmy hit him back with a Superkick. Daniel Bryan delivered the double knees as Rowan gave a clothesline to Roman Reigns who came back with a Superman Punch. Elias threw him into the steps. Shane made the tag and hit the coast to coast on Jey to pick up the win. After the match, Miz arrived with a chair and cracked it in the back of Elias sending all the heels for a retreat.
Roman Reigns had the last laugh on WWE Raw over Shane McMahon and Elias with the assistance of The Miz. For weeks now, the two heels have been targeting these two as the Money in the Bank storyline progresses. The number game was the most important weapon that they possessed. But the odds became even when Roman Reigns aligned with his former arch-nemesis The Miz.
Shane McMahon and Bobby Lashley tried to beat down The Big Dog inside the ring until The Miz appeared with a chair. The equalizer was enough to fend off these two as well as Elias. If that was not enough then Roman Reigns was ready on WWE Raw with two Superman Punched to their mouth. Shane McMahon somehow escaped the scene hinting that he may be coming back for revenge in Smackdown.
Hence, we expected him and Elias to give trouble to the biggest acquisition of Smackdown, Roman Reigns. This could have also provided a final hype to the scheduled matches at Money in the Bank. That’s what exactly happened on Smackdown when Shane and Elias gained some momentums for their respective matches by picking up huge a victory, last night. Plus, it was a treat to seeing Shane McMahon back in action after Wrestlemania.
