Wrestlemania is less than five months away from us on WWE schedule. Planning around the show especially the main event starts months before it arrives. This year, the biggest headache for the WWE creative is to fill up the void created by Roman Reigns. He is the sure-shot main-eventer who will not be in the scene for months to come.
Ronda Rousey-Becky Lynch Twitter war continues
Even Triple H is not around which means another marquee match can’t happen on the show. This definitely changed the earlier plans sketched by the creative team. It also means that this is the perfect time for the women superstars to headline the show. A women’s main event seems evident in the current capacity making the unthinkable into reality.
WWE to punish Nia Jax for breaking Becky’s face?
There’s no need to emphasize the fact that Ronda Rousey will feature in this match. The good part is the most beloved female face from WWE will also take part in it making it a one-of-a-kind affair. Reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey will be the main event match of the next edition of Wrestlemania.
This match was about to happen on this year’s Survivor Series. But Nia Jax gave a stiff punch to the face of Becky Lynch causing a broken nose. WWE doctors did not clear her to wrestle on the upcoming show that altered the lineup. Charlotte Flair replaced her former ‘four-horsewomen’ buddy too set up yet another dream match. But WWE Universe would be more than happy to see the original matchup.
Well, they need not worry as WWE plans to deliver this match in a bigger capacity. Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch are undoubtedly the two most talked women superstars at this time. Involving them in a match could create a solid match filled up with buzz. So Dave Meltzer hinted the match is in the pipeline for Wrestlemania 35,
“The Mania match, today it was talked about. It’s Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch, which is probably going to be in the main event, well one of the two big matches at Mania.”
Vince McMahon had a meeting with Ronda Rousey once Becky Lynch was out of Survivor Series. They discussed the best course of action for the biggest event of the year. Both agreed to the proposal and proceeded forward. Perhaps, this was the final lockdown for this matchup. If Becky Lynch would not suffer the injury then there was not a chance to see this match at Wrestlemania. So it has been a ‘blessing in disguise’ for the Irish Lass-kicker.
