As reported earlier Daniel Bryan will be off from Smackdown Live for sometimes now. He was present on WWE Raw during the 30th October episode. The reason behind this appearance was to apologise to the Raw general manager for the previous week’s locker room invasion by Shane McMahon.
He arrived at the flagship show for a generous cause. However, it turned out to be his nightmare, as Kane appeared in front of him to deliver a sudden attack. The Demon choke-slammed his former tag team partner to lay him down. Since Bryan is suffering from a neck concussion, he was taken to the medical facility.
It was a cunning way for the creative heads to take the babyface general manager out of the equation for quite sometimes. It is also to be noted that a rift has already been started between the former WWE Champion and the commissioner of the show that indicated that perhaps the time span of Daniel Bryan remaining on his role is limited. If the conflict continues in the near future, then the Shane-o-mac will certainly look for a new general manager.
Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave a huge update on the next name that might act, as the general manager on Smackdown Live. It is going to be none other Nikki Bella who is the sister-in-law of Daniel Bryan.
As per the reports from the veteran journalist, it is clear that the elder Bella will be looking forward to finding a role in WWE TV with her neck concussion giving her troubles for an in-ring return. This topic will be shown illustriously on the Total Divas new season that has been started from November 1st onwards. This running season is expected to continue until January 31st in 2018.
The longest reigning Divas Champion has been hell-bent to return to the squared circle for quite sometimes. However, she is dealing with the neck concussion for the past three years which is quite severe that will not allow her to wrestle full-time.
Also, using her in the GM’s role will allow the official to use Nikki’s popularity in a big way. Despite big names in the locker room, no one from the women’s division gets paid like Nikki due to her mainstream attention. So, this would indeed be an innovative idea of making the Bella Queen the top authority figure on the blue brand.
