Hulk Hogan is considered to be one of the four cornerstones of the WWE since the very beginning. He was the first franchise of the company in the 1990s. The franchise was then handed to the Rock and then to Stone Cold Steve Austin. The torch was passed to John Cena, who has been the face of the company for almost 10 years now.
After his stint with the WWE was over, Hulk Hogan enjoyed his time in the TNA wrestling promotion only to come back to the company in 2014. He appeared to hype up the Wrestlemania 30 season. Hogan also made quite a few appearances that year on Raw and Smackdown. But then the Gawker lawsuit happened to him. In a video footage, he made some abusive remarks, more of racist comments to a woman.
The lawsuit caused him getting banned from the WWE. The company is strict in these kinds of racial lawsuits and hence cut all the ties with the superstar. His profile from WWE’s official website and almost all mentions of Hogan associated with the WWE were removed.
However, Hulk Hogan was released from all accusations by the court earlier this year and hence the WWE is slowly bringing him back.
Recently, Brooke Hogan said there are some talks going on between the WWE and his father regarding next year’s Wrestlemania. Hulk Hogan himself has denied the rumors. This might be due to the fact that the deal is not finalized yet.
Rumors also suggest Hogan might return in WWE TV prior to Wrestlemania. Triple H’s return to the WWE Raw will cause tensions between Foley and Stephanie McMahon. That might cause Foley to quit his job in near future. So, he might appear as the General Manager of Monday Night Raw.
