Extreme Rules PPV will be historic this year by all means. Both Raw and Smackdown will participate in it making the show a bigger event. We have previously reported that the women’s division will make history on this night. Alexa Bliss will take on against Nia Jax in the WWE Raw women’s championship match.

It will not be any ordinary match. Rather, the two women will compete in an Extreme Rules match. It means that the environment in this match will see a No Disqualification rules. This is the first time ever that two women will compete under this circumstance in a contest. The women’s evolution will continue to make history at the upcoming PPV event.

Meanwhile, the men’s division will be no less as a special gimmick match is returning to Extreme Rules PPV. The Intercontinental Championship will be on the line as previously expected. But this special capacity has made the stakes higher than ever.

Seth Rollins will challenge Dolph Ziggler in a rematch for the IC title at Extreme Rules. These two will feature in a 30-minute Ironman match. The question of this title match’s status was under speculation for a long time. The GM of WWE Raw, Kurt Angle confirmed it on Twitter. Later, WWE.com confirmed it with the following updates,

“At WWE Extreme Rules, Dolph Ziggler will look to repel The Kingslayer in an Intercontinental Championship 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match, a bout in which the competitor with the most decisions at the end of the 30-minute time limit will be declared the winner. Don’t miss a second of the championship showdown at WWE Extreme Rules, Sunday, July 15, at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network!”

The rules of this match state that the two competitors will have to continue the match for 30 minutes of time. There can be multiple pinfalls or submissions during this time-span. The superstar with the maximum number of falls under his name will get the win after the match.

The last time we have seen an Ironman match in the WWE was at Roadblock: End of the Line in 2016. Charlotte and Sasha Banks featured in the first-ever women’s division Ironman match to create history. It is likely that both Rollins and Ziggler will justify to their supremacy by delivering a solid title match at Extreme Rules.
