For the past few weeks, if anybody has created a wave around the WWE Universe, it has been James Ellsworth. The man who made the below comment famous, “Any man with two hands has a fighting chance” could be a part of the Smackdown roster, as per reports.
A report from allwrestlingnews.com suggests the same after his merchandise has shattered even Roman Reigns’ merchandise sales since it was launched. Only Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens’ merchandise have seen a better sale than Ellsworth’s and hence WWE is seriously thinking of taking the superstar under their wings.
He will primarily be used to feature in some funny roles. His short feud with AJ Styles has already become a major hit amongst the fans. He was interviewed by CBS Studios, where he said how he grew up watching Chris Jericho’s wrestling. He also said that Y2J gave him some precious advice too.
“That is definitely 100 percent Chris Jericho. The day after I did the match with Braun Strowman he contacted me on Twitter and wanted me on his podcast (Talk Is Jericho). I went in and did the podcast with him. Ever since then we text all the time. He gives me advice and helps me out. He’s an outstanding human being.”
A report from Ringsidenews.com also suggests that he will be given a spot in the Royal Rumble PPV, as well. The master of the ‘No Chin music’ was first seen in a squash match against Braun Strowman on Raw. However, he earned tremendous popularity after he was paired with AJ Styles in the main event of Smackdown. He never had the opportunity to compete that night since the Miz attacked him from behind.
But, he is now 2-0 up against AJ Styles and that certainly indicates anything is possible in the WWE.
