WWE News: Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton Hell in a Cell Result, Hardy Injured
Jeff Hardy competed in his first ever Hell in a Cell match last night. He is a veteran in the business who has spent more than two decades.
During this course, he competed in different kind of matches with various stipulations. But this was one particular match that he did not have the fortune to compete in. A veteran opponent was in store for him.
None other than Randy Orton built a rivalry against Jeff Hardy for this Hell in a Cell matchup. In contrast to his opponent, the 13-time world champion is a veteran when it comes to this steel structure. He has competed on multiple occasions in this environment. Not only that, he won three matches inside this, too. Legends like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena stood against him.
Fighting these veterans inside Hell in a Cell gave him the upper hand. Plus, the heelish persona also helped him to get into the heads of Jeff Hardy. The high-flyer digested vicious beatdowns before the setup of this match. But he managed to make a comeback with valiant efforts in past couple of weeks. We expected this one to be a solid match between the two legends.
Jeff Hardy tried to start the match on a quick note with high flying moves. Randy Orton blocked a move from Hardy and slammed his face into the wall of the Hell in a Cell. He went for one more time, but Hardy blocked and countered by sending Orton’s face into the cell. The toys sooner came into play, as Randy Orton pulled chairs under the ring and went for an RKO right onto it.
But Jeff Hardy moved out of it and hit the Poetry in Motion with the chair. But his opponent took full control of the match using another chair. He crashed it on Hardy’s back for multiple occasions before bringing out a ladder into the scenario. He put Jeff Hardy within the stairs like a sandwich.
Attacks from Randy Orton became remorseless, as he pulled out a toolbox under the ring. Using a screwdriver, he tried to tear apart the earlobe of the Charismatic Enigma which was disturbing. Jeff Hardy used a low-blow to counter things. He hit a Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb on the chair for a near fall.
He set up a long ladder to reach to the top of the Hell in a Cell cage before jumping off it. Randy Orton moved out sending Jeff Hardy crashing through the table. He picked up the pinfall win by hooking the legs. The officials arrived on the scene to take out an injured Hardy off the arena. Later, we received an update that the officials admitted Hardy in a local hospital.
