WWE News: John Cena Advertised for Both Raw & Smackdown PPVs
After spending almost two decades in the WWE, John Cena has now transitioned into a character of a part-timer in the company. He only appears on some special occasion to sell out the show. Due to this, WWE has attached a free agent tag to him so that he can get used on both Raw and Smackdown Live with the brand split being no bar.
So, we have seen him appearing on both the shows in recent past. He was part of the Survivor Series PPV, last year as part of the blue brand, whereas, he came back on WWE Raw on the December 25th edition of the show. He also performed in both Raw and Smackdown house shows during the Holiday Tour season. Going forward, he will continue this stint for both the brands.
Recently, John Cena announced that he would be entering the 31st annual edition of the Royal Rumble PPV. It will be after five years that we will see him in the prestigious battle royal. According to the recent betting odds, he is quite a favourite one to win the match, as well and then to headline Wrestlemania.

Further advertisements teased that he is the favourite to win it and then visit both the shows to choose his opponent for the championship. Elimination Chamber will be the first Raw-exclusive event in 2018 which has now enlisted his name to sell out the show. In case you don’t know, the show is scheduled on February 25th in Las Vegas.
The surprising thing is that the Cenation Leader is also being advertised to appear in the Smackdown-exclusive PPV, as well. On March 11th, he will be making a guest appearance on the Fastlane PPV being an additional star power. The Nationwide Arena’s Twitter handle provided us with the updates.

The 16-time world champion is also being advertised to appear in an episode of WWE Raw on March 5th. This time too, the BMO Bradley Harris Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin revealed his appearance. With these occurrences coming up, it is hard to say as from which brand he will be performing at Wrestlemania, this year. We have to look forward to the Royal Rumble to find out the answers.
