WWE News: John Cena Challenged The Undertaker on Raw 1

The organic buildup of Undertaker’s return was there in the surroundings with the Wrestlemania season getting started, officially.

This time around, the rumours were rampant about a potential match for him against John Cena. It is a dream match for the fans which never happened before in the history of the company.

Furthermore, there were doubts regarding the Deadman’s status in the WWE. It started ever since he lost the match against Roman Reigns, last year. WWE never confirmed his status which is why clarification was needed regarding this. Many believed that one last match should be reserved for him with the must-see match against John Cena.

Also, the Cenation Leader’s status was in certain jeopardy, too after he came up short of winning the Elimination Chamber. According to him, for the first time in 15 years, he does not have a road to Wrestlemania which is unthinkable for the main event star like him. So, it seemed perfect that the officials would pit him against The Undertaker.

The same was teased on last night’s WWE Raw programming when the franchise player of the company threw a challenge to the Phenome, which was quite expected. With this feud officially being mentioned on live television, fans can definitely expect to see this dream match.

However, for now, WWE officials continue to play mind games with the fans about this match. John Cena did note that the match is no more possible as per the instructions. So, he was forced to go to the Smackdown Live brand to find a new opponent, tonight. Check out WWE.com predicting the new opponent for him,

“Monday night on Raw, Cena defiantly claimed that he will never give up in his quest to make it to New Orleans. The free agent declared that he would be heading to SmackDown LIVE tonight to take advantage of The Land of Opportunity that Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan have created. But just how does Cena intend to make sure his Road to WrestleMania runs through SmackDown LIVE?”

As for now, the Cenation Leader is being advertised for the Fastlane PPV, and it is almost certain that he would compete in a match against one of the marquee superstars from the blue brand.

This would certainly help the PPV event to sell out more tickets, that is set to emanate on March 11th.
