At this time, John Cena is on a hiatus from WWE since the Wrestlemania season is over. He is wrapping up some his movies which were already committed. ‘The Pact’ movie is on the floor, right now. He is also due for at least a couple of more filming once this is done.
As reported earlier, this would sideline him from the WWE for a long time. It is being speculated that this hiatus will continue for eight long months. Quite expectedly, he is listed next in the Survivor Series PPV in November. In the case of a premature return, he is not expected until Summerslam comes around.
Now, John Cena taking hiatus from the WWE on a regular basis earned him the nickname of a ‘part-timer’. This was an integral part of his feud with the Miz and Maryse with Nikki Bella being a part of it. The mega match took place at this year’s Wrestlemania which entirely revolved around real life incidents.
The Miz blasted Cena for blocking his spot back when he debuted in WWE. On the other hand, Maryse made Nikki Bella guilty stating that she was the one who blocked her from a return to the company, earlier. At times, the accusation went on to become nastier on live television.
Recently, John Cena appeared in an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated to disclose whether the feud was too real for WWE TV. This was his comment regarding the matter:
“I can’t believe I have hair left. At times, it’s trying to have someone throw your real life out there. Everybody comes to me, so I’m used to it, but it’s a first for Nicole. They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and I can attest to that.
I’ve had to be on the receiving end of some upset nights, but I cannot stress to you enough how it shows her character and resolve. I tell everyone who will listen, Nicole is the strongest, most inspiring person I’ve ever met. That’s why I love her.”
The Cenation leader also acknowledged that Nikki was seriously affected as a result of the same since she is not habituated to see real life storylines getting showcased on live television. However, this turned out to be the most memorable feud of his career as stated by him:
“I’ve headlined with The Rock and I’ve been a part of a lot of WrestleMania moments, but this moment with Nicole is the one most important of all because I get to stand alongside her in a WrestleMania ring.”
