Fans have seen less of John Cena on WWE in recent times. He transformed into a part-time player in the company from the mainstay name. This was actually a good thing for the fans who were tired of seeing him all the time. They started booing the ‘golden goose’ of the company for the same reason.
Dream moment waiting for Cena at Wrestlemania
Schedule of John Cena ahead of Wrestlemania
John Cena decided to wrestle only on big events in the WWE, thereafter. He followed the same schedule starting from 2015. He faced the Undertaker at last year’s Wrestlemania. He went on a hiatus after coming up short against the Deadman. Thereafter, he decided to make a return for only a couple of weeks to perform in WWE programming at the beginning of 2019. There’s no news on his future comeback now that he is gone from the scene, again.
John Cena to challenge for WWE title at Wrestlemania?
Rumors started to fly that the next stint of John Cena might be his last. He is getting more chances in movies and entertainment industry. Plus, the breakup with Nikki Bella is also a valid reason that he might want to step out of the wrestling ring. However, it looks like WWE will use him in big capacities in the upcoming days. This is why we might see him performing in Wrestlemania 35.
Cagesideseats.com reported that John Cena will perform at Wrestlemania 35. Rumors broke out previously suggesting that ‘big-match John’ may skip the biggest event due to his Hollywood stint. But the reliable source hinted that it is likely that WWE must bring him back on April 7th. This year’s Wrestlemania does not look much stronger in the absence of big names.
So John Cena getting included into the scenario should happen in due course. However, there are still no confirmations which opponent he would face at Wrestlemania 35. The source did not confirm it but Drew McIntyre could be a possible name to be put against him.
The franchise player of the WWE noted on his retirement speculation during an interview. ESPN asked him about whether he is willing to hang up his boots. The 16-time world champion said he’s ‘far from done with the WWE’. As soon as he gets some downtime, we will see him back in the WWE, again.

“I realize I’d be nowhere without them and I never forget them. I promise as soon as I have any sort of downtime, like I had when I was at the Greatest Royal Rumble and the string of shows I did before WrestleMania, anytime free time I get will not be free, it will be spent at my home in the WWE.”
