WWE News: John Cena To Take Another Time-Off Following Wrestlemania 1

John Cena’s role as a part-timer does not seem to come to an end, anytime soon. He was busy wrapping up other commitments outside WWE for the better part of 2016 and will continue to do so this year, too.

There’s a reason that he was given the tag of part-timer and going by his upcoming schedule, he will continue to prove it.

A report from wrestlezone.com suggested that the Cenation leader will take another time-off, now that WWE is done with the Wrestlemania season.

After performing on the biggest stage of them all, he is set to go on another long hiatus from the company. As per the source, this time the absence will be for eight long months.

This is the reason why the franchise of the company is not being advertised for any of the shows or live events for the post-Wrestlemania season.

The next time he is advertised is around the Survivor Series PPV in the month of November.

It was reported earlier that the creative is not happy at all with this flip-flop in his appearances since his absence creates a major void in the blue brand. But, if another hiatus is on the card then it’s for sure that both WWE and he came to a mutual agreement where he will only be working for a handful time in the entire year around the big four PPVs.

John Cena will be missing a plethora of WWE events during the summer which includes WWE’s annual UK tour after Wrestlemania. He is also not enlisted for the second biggest PPV of the year, Summerslam.

In between, there are also two more Smackdown-exclusive PPVs i.e. Extreme Rules and Money in the Bank which will not witness him performing.

Due to this long hiatus, the rumour mill was also suggesting that this year’s Wrestlemania was probably his last. However, in recent interview sessions, her girlfriend Nikki Bella has confirmed that he will be back after he is done with the movie commitments.
