WWE News: John Cena Took Shot at Roman Reigns’ Suspension in 2016
The mic battle between John Cena and Roman Reigns is going on and on ever since the Cenation Leader shifted to Monday Night Raw. He was pitted in a feud against none other than Roman Reigns. As a result, we will be getting a great match at the upcoming No Mercy PPV.
Another promo segment took place at this week’s edition of Raw where both men continued to rip each other apart with numerous shots. Roman Reigns won a match against Jason Jordan in the opening segment of the show. Aftermath, his celebration was cut short by his PPV opponent who came down to have another verbal battle.
The confrontation started with The Big Dog stating that in last two years of time, he has been part of some big matches that John Cena has ever been in his career. The best part of this rivalry is that both of them continues to blast each other from a real-life perspective.
Hence, Cena mentioned that Reigns is protected and nobody can pin him. However, he continues to bury himself by holding the mic, every time. It was a direct shot to Reigns’ poor promo-cutting skills. It is not the first time that Cena made this reference.
Also, the 16-time world champion also mentioned Roman Reigns getting suspended by the WWE for violating the company’s wellness policy. The audience was completely shocked at that moment. The promo ended on that note, as Cena verbally assaulted his No Mercy opponent, yet again.

In case you have forgotten, last year, Roman Reigns suffered a one-month suspension owing to the above reason despite being the franchise player of the company. He missed one month of time from WWE TV before returning to the Battleground PPV.
The Big Dog stated the following after suffering the consequence,
“I apologise to my family, friends, and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses, I own it.”
WWE has been quite a strict when it comes to Wellness Policy Violation ever since Eddie Guerrero’s death occurred back in 2005. In recent times, several superstars have been suspended for the same.
