WWE News: John Cena’s days in WWE are numbered? 1

John Cena has been the franchise for WWE over a decade and more. He is the flag-bearer of the company and almost was the sole representative for the company at one point. Last two or three years has seen him getting booed to a certain extent but that does not fade away his popularity and acceptance in the bigger perspective. Outside the WWE ring, he is a huge personality in the United States America and one of the best-known athletes in the whole world.

As we all know, John Cena has been focusing on more non-WWE contents starting from past couple of years. He has also taken hiatus from TV last year around October to host a reality TV series on Fox called American Grit. It seems that the trend will continue in the future as wrestlingINC.com suggests, the same with the latest report.

Ever since he returned in May, it was speculated that the franchise of the company will work on a lighter schedule. Adding to the rumor was the news that Cena has been removed from several upcoming live events in WWE. Though, the legitimacy of this one is still not justified. The same source confirmed that John Cena has signed a contract with Leftfield Entertainment to be featured in some unscripted TV programming and online projects. This is the production house he has worked for American Grit.

With that being said, several new projects are on the roll between Cena and the entertainment house. The Cenation leader may end up serving as the executive producer for these along with his own production house Hard Nocks South production banner. So it is legit that we will see less of Cena in the upcoming months.

Cena issued the statement:

“Whether I’m in the ring for WWE or on a TV or film set, I approach all of my work the same way – with focus, authenticity and total commitment. I’m eager to bring that same work ethic to the team at Leftfield, and to create new kinds of programming that can inspire and push people to be their best. I’m living proof of what you can accomplish when that happens.”

Recently, Cena has earned the accolade of hosting ESPY on July 13th in Los Angeles. He and his long-time girlfriend Nikki Bella has also been invited to United States president Barrack Obama’s last White House Correspondents dinner on April 30th.
