WWE News: Jonathon Coachman Accused of Sexual Assault 1

It looks like, WWE employees are not being able to keep themselves away from controversial situations.

In recent times, multiple such things occurred including the franchise player of the company. It keeps on growing the headache for the WWE officials, for sure.

Recently, the newest member of the WWE Raw announce team has fallen victim of a sexual assault, too.

The name in-concern is none other than Jonathon Coachman. He is not only a WWE commentator but also a popular name in the broadcasting world. The accusation came from the former ESPN anchor and legal analyst Adrienne Lawrence.

According to the updates from The New York Post, Adrienne filed a lawsuit against sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuit against ESPN. The incident goes way back in 2015. The main allegations against the company are that they are not taking any steps against the accused persons.

These include former SportsCenter anchor John Buccigross and Jonathon Coachman. In case you don’t know, the latter mentioned one worked for a long time in the WWE in the last decade. After leaving the company, he went on to become a journalist on ESPN. Apart from these mentioned, there are several other names from the company who were also accused of varying degrees of harassment in the suit.

Further reports in this issue were disclosed by wrestlingINC.com,

“The suit alleges that Coachman employed the “ESPN predators’ playbook,” in which Lawrence reached out to her on the pretence of mentorship but tried turning the relationship personal. Lawrence says she was advised by colleagues that Coachman sexually harassed female employees at ESPN, including now-former SportsCenter anchor Sara Walsh.”

Some of the statements from the suit were also revealed by the source which indicated Coachman sent her unethical photos and wanted to get involved in a relationship with her. Also, false rumours were spread about these two. These are portions of the suit,

“After learning that, Ms Lawrence made an effort to communicate to Coachman that she had a boyfriend, after which she did not hear from him again. The coachman had sent Walsh inappropriate photos of himself and text messages, falsely telling her colleagues that they were romantically involved and that she “wanted” him – another common practice of men at ESPN.”

WWE is quite strict when it comes to these kinds of sensitive matters. They already released a statement saying they are personally looking into this matter. There’s no update whether Jonathon Coachman will be removed from WWE TV, immediately starting from next week’s WWE Raw.
