WWE News: Kurt Angle Says WWE Officials Monitoring Him For An In-Ring Return
In case you have watched the 2017 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, you must have noticed the crowd chanting “one more match” addressing Kurt Angle. It is certain that the WWE fans are thrilled to see him back in the WWE television, every single week. But, most importantly they want to see him performing in some more matches.
Ever since he signed a WWE contract to return for the Hall of Fame event, it was evident that he will wrestle in the company, for sure. Kurt Angle himself suggested several times that there’s no way he intends to hang up his boots, so early. But, the recent reports suggest that he has to earn the right to call himself a competitor.
As per the recent reports from Inquisitr.com, WWE officials are monitoring his health condition. He has already undergone the routine medical check-up process. If the medical team gives the signal then the creative team will start to plan for a marquee match in one of the major PPVs.
The Raw General Manager also spoke to wrestlezone.com to clarify the condition between him and the WWE. He stated that although the company has not clarified such plans, for now, it should not take much longer for him to pick up a fight against a certain superstar. Check out his comments:
“They haven’t talked to me about it. I’m sure they won’t until the last second (laughs). That’s ok with me. I think what they are doing right now is, this is just my opinion, they are monitoring to see how I’m doing…They want to see “Is this kid really in recovery? Does he really have his life together? Is he coming here clean? Is he doing ok? Is his health ok?’
They see me working out at the gym. They see me every week on Raw doing what I have to do. They’re saying, “Prove to us that you are ok and we can give you what you want.” I’m cool with that.”
He clarified that a drug test will be conducted soon and that’s to ensure so that a proper storyline process can be made around him. This is how he finished the interview with a green signal for in-ring return:
“I will be wrestling down the road at some point. It might not be this year, it might be next year, I don’t know. They haven’t said a word, but my guess is I will wrestle again in WWE. I just don’t know when.”
