In a piece of breaking news from WWE.com, we now received confirmations about the final match of Kurt Angle on WWE Raw. It will be one final time that the legend will come out on the flagship show to deliver a mega match against his long-time rival from the past. Rey Mysterio from Smackdown locker room will be his dancing partner in the last match on Monday Nights. The legendary performer should give him a proper send-off on the red brand.
Speaking of such dream matches, Kurt Angle competed against United States Champion Samoa Joe on WWE Raw in Boston, last night. Joe boasted a lot before the beginning of the match and picked up momentums in the early part hitting a suicidal dive. But Kurt Angle came back with a missile Drop-kick. Joe countered an Angle Slam attempt by locking in the Coquina Clutch. But Angle reversed it into a roll-up to continue his winning spree that is ongoing for last few weeks.
Kurt Angle started the farewell tour on WWE Raw following the confirmation of his retirement at Wrestlemania 35. He started by facing off Apollo Crews, two weeks ago. Last week, he announced his opponent at the very last match of his career in the form of Baron Corbin. He also took on against Chad Gable and defeated him.
Now the competitions going around WWE Raw became literally less significant ever since WWE names Corbin for Kurt Angle’s Wrestlemania opponent. We could barely think of seeing someone less relevant from the regular roster would challenge this legend in his retirement match.
Starting from this week, the scene around Kurt Angle changed a bit. WWE announced that a dream match will be waiting for him in the form of AJ Styles on Smackdown Live. Furthermore, numerous reports teased that WWE is actually changing his Wrestlemania retirement match against Corbin on WWE Raw. But till now, no such announcement has been received from WWE’s side.
