The main event for last night’s Smackdown Live was set from last week.

A dream match was about to become a reality for the fans. Daniel Bryan was about to take on Samoa Joe in a marquee match of the night. The final spot for MITB was hanging in the balance.

The lineups for the men’s division MITB ladder match had one spot left. Eight superstars can compete in the match in total. WWE Raw has already declared four names from their wing. Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman, Bobby Roode and Finn Balor are the confirmed names.

Smackdown declared three names in the form of The Miz, Big E, and Rusev. One spot from this division was still available. The match as mentioned earlier was set for this final spot.

WWE fans are well aware of the veteran skills of these two wrestlers. They featured in numerous main events around the indie circuit. It was the first time they were about to lock horns in a WWE ring.

The anticipations among the fans were pretty much big. But Big Cass got medically cleared last night. He ruined things for the fans.

Cass wanted the deserved opportunity for the MITB ladder match. He appeared on the opening segment of the show to demand a spot in the qualifier. He was the original one to compete against Joe before the injury.

The GM Paige considered things and mentioned that doctors cleared him indeed. So the dream singles match never took place. Big Cass competed in the qualifier making it a triple threat bout.

It was a packed match as well in the main event of Smackdown. Daniel Bryan was rolling throughout the contest with his YES kicks following with huge superkick to the head to both his opponents. The crowd was delighted to see the Running Knee on Big Cass.

Samoa Joe ruined arrived from nowhere when we thought that Bryan would win the match. He came from behind and applied the Coquina Clutch on his opponent.

Bryan faded away in some moments. It handed over the win to Joe. He is now the last participant for MITB ladder match representing Smackdown Live.
