It looks like, the injury of Braun Strowman has occurred in the worst time possible. The man was on the verge of getting a huge push in the storyline that would land him straight into the Universal title picture. All of those chances wiped out with the elbow injury that he suffered on last week’s WWE Raw.
Since, he was involved in the main event feud for the next PPV, Extreme Rules, WWE creative will have to revamp their plans, completely. The franchise player Roman Reigns needs an opponent for the next WWE Raw-exclusive PPV. For him, there are two options being nurtured.
The first one suggests to renewing his feud against Bray Wyatt. The match between these two with an added stipulation will be the main event for the night.
Recently, the live events during WWE’s UK tour have witnessed a tag team match where Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns teamed up against Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt. This might have been a major indication of Wyatt starting a temporary feud against his former bitter rival.
The second option was suggested by 434.com where they said a brand new feud will be started between Roman Reigns and The Miz. This would be possible once The A-lister wins back the Intercontinental championship from Dean Ambrose.
In case you don’t know, next week’s main event of WWE Raw will witness Ambrose squaring off against The Miz for the IC title. If the creative gives the green signal for this feud to happen then there are certain possibilities that Ambrose will drop the title to The Miz.
On the other hand, Finn Balor was supposed to have a full-fledged rivalry against Bray Wyatt for the summer season. The feud has initially begun after Wyatt delivered a sneak attack to Balor and cost the IC title opportunity.
These two were pitted to compete in an inevitable match at Extreme Rules PPV. But, if Wyatt gets involved in a program against Reigns, it would be interesting to see what Balor would be up to for the Extreme Rules PPV. We can’t expect to get a definite answer until the next episode of WWE Raw comes live.
