We went off the air from Smackdown Live in the midst of an utter chaos after the battle royal to determine the number one contender for WWE championship was declared a draw. Daniel Bryan promised to find an answer to it while closing the show with the last two men Luke Harper and AJ Styles standing in the ring.
Once Smackdown went off the air, the General Manager confirmed that next week we will be getting a major main event which is a first-time ever in the WWE. AJ Styles will battle it out with Luke Harper to determine the contender’s spot who faces Bray Wyatt in due course.

The battle royal has also seen an out-of-the-rulebook elimination after The Miz threw Cena over the top rope even after getting eliminated, himself. Due to the A-lister’s action, Cena is announced to join the Miz TV talk show on next week’s Smackdown.

This is to start the rivalry between these two former Wrestlemania main eventers which will culminate in a mixed tag team match. As we have seen, Maryse was the reason why Nikki Bella lost the Falls Count Anywhere match to Natalya. All of them are expected to be present on next week’s episode which is said to be a heated one.
Meanwhile, Nikki was hurt after Maryse hit her with the led pipe time and time again on the show. On the fallout show, the doctors were checking her at backstage to determine the severity of the injury.
Plus, Naomi had to forfeit her Smackdown women’s championship due to the injury suffered at Elimination Chamber. Alexa Bliss was the one to pick up the title to become a two-time women’s champion. After the show, she received her custom plated belt which she claimed to be only her.
