The next episode of WWE Raw should be the one to set the pace for Summerslam. The initial buildup for the event had just started on this week’s edition.
We have seen two solid triple threat matches featuring the prime superstars present on the show. Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley turned out to be the winners of these matches.
Now the announcement from WWE Raw GM already confirmed the winners of these matches would feature in a number one contender’s match, next week. So, the Extreme Rules rematch is all set between the two behemoth names on the red brand. Plus, there should be one more reason to set this match up.
Many of the fans could not believe the fact that a guy like Bobby Lashley pinned Roman Reigns cleanly in a PPV match. He was outside of the company for the past ten years. Reigns, on the other hand, continued carrying the brand for the past several years. This sudden loss just before Summerslam was uncalled for.
So, here is the WWE creative team trying to give the answers to this unimaginable move. Reigns vs Lashley is set on WWE Raw where the outcome will change.
The franchise player is ahead of Lashley when it comes to main-eventing a PPV event. So, he’d win the contender’s match to face Lesnar again for the umpteenth time in his career.
Apart from this huge match, there will be a championship match on the show. The WWE Raw tag team titles will be on the line. The B-team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) winning the championships from Hardy and Wyatt was one of the shockers of Extreme Rules. The former champions do deserve a rematch as per their contract.
They can’t wait to have it on WWE Raw. We had already seen a confrontation between these two teams on this week where Hardy threatened to DELETE the champs. So, the officials of the show made the match official for next week.
It will be interesting to see who emerges as the victorious team when WWE Raw comes live from the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. Depending on the winner, the officials will give a chance to the teams like The Revival or Authors of Pain at the championships at Summerslam.
