WWE News: Matt Hardy Talked about Real-Life Fight with Brock Lesnar
The Hardy Boyz and Brock Lesnar are a few superstars from the Attitude Era who are still performing at their very best level. While Lesnar is the Universal Champion, the Hardyz returned to the WWE and later won the tag team championship title. They came back after almost seven long years to their home after conquering the other promotions in the past several years.
Now, being the superstars on the same locker room back in the last decade, both Matt and Jeff Hardy and Brock Lesnar squared off on some occasions. In fact, these three are the superstars that “the next big thing” locked horns for most of the time, at one point.
Recently, during an interview, Matt Hardy revealed an interesting situation between him and the beast incarnate. He appeared in one edition of Pro-Wrestling Shoots to talk about the incident which is being considered as a real-life feud between the two of them.
Back in the day in the last decade, Vince McMahon and the other WWE officials were very high on Brock Lesnar. It was the reason that the meetings that Matt and Lesnar had, earlier turned out to be cordial. In one of their matches, Matt Hardy botched a chair-shot to the latter to make him furious.
During one of the storylines on Smackdown, Big Show and Paul Heyman screwed him off the WWE title. Matt received a main event match against Lesnar on the show. At one point, The Broken One smashed a chair on his opponent’s head. He was actually about to hit in his back portion but mistimed it. It caused a serious confrontation between them at the backstage area. Check out the comments from the former tag team champions:
“And I remember Brock kept coming back down the course of the day and he was like ‘Nah, you’re getting a little too much’. ‘This needs to come out’. ‘We need changes’ and so and so, ‘…because that makes me look weak’.”
“I know he (Lesnar) wants to kill me (and) I just remember him coming back like a gorilla. He’s like ‘What the f***?’ ‘Why the f*** did you hit me in the head?”
Being the WWE Superstars, this type of situation is not something new to them. We can often hear the ego problems of certain superstars creating problems in the locker room area. This incident was only one of those numerous altercations.
