WWE News: Meeting Between Triple H and Rey Mysterio Cancelled 1

We have reported it multiple times that Rey Mysterio was interested in signing a WWE deal.

It was his one-off appearance in the Royal Rumble match that gave him the spotlight from the fans. The social media was quite over with his comeback setting up a perfect environment for his return to the WWE after almost four years of span.

The officials were also interested in bringing him back to the company as a deal was negotiated for quite a long time. Meanwhile, there was a constraint which was not letting it happen. The rigorous schedule of the company was the main bar behind this signing.

Rey Mysterio has grown older and can’t afford to be on the road for most of the times in a year like the current roster members. Being a legendary name, he deserves to choose his appearances. He demanded a contract where only part-time schedule would be reserved for him. But, the WWE officials were always willing to bring him back as a full-time performer.

To negotiate this, once again, Rey Mysterio was scheduled to have a meeting with Triple H in recent times. According to the reports of PWInsider.com, the meeting was scheduled to take place just after the masked superstar’s match at the Northeast Wrestling promotion’s event.

But, nothing went well, as per the earlier planning. The high-flying superstar got injured on that night. He suffered a biceps injury and was checked by the medical team available. So, the meeting was postponed, as Triple H departed for another meeting. Mike Johnson of the source  Rey Mysterio was supposed to visit the WWE Headquarters to finalize the WWE contract.

The sudden injury stopped him from doing so. Furthermore, Triple H had to fly out to Saudi Arabia. He will have to finalise another deal for the upcoming live events schedule conducted by the WWE in the Arab country over the next decade.

At this time, it is not clear whether this injury will effect Rey Mysterio returning to the WWE. We are not aware of the severity of the concussion suffered. It is likely he would not return to the biggest pro-wrestling promotion before Wrestlemania if the injury is still bothering him.
