Only three weeks are remaining for the Mixed Match Challenge culmination.
Starting from January 16th, it has given us major entertainment. A total number of nine matches have been hosted, till date with only three to be hosted, more. Before this week, two teams have reached the semi-final of the contest.
These two teams are Alexa Bliss-Braun Strowman and Asuka-The Miz which means both teams were from WWE Raw.
Last night, two teams from Smackdown Live locked horns in this Mixed Match Challenge. It was Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode who teamed up against Rusev and Lana.

Before the matchup, the real-life couple targeted the Robe Warriors with verbal comments on the social media. They received their reply creating a heated confrontation. So, the excitement was kept high for this contest where the third team of the series was determined.
Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair made their entrances first into the contest. They did their usual pose inside the ring which was interrupted by Rusev and Lana. A physical confrontation broke out inside the ring, as Rusev shoved Roode, first. Charlotte came between them to stop this. But, Lana was not happy and slapped Roode in the face.

It started the match, as Charlotte and Lana locked horns. The Smackdown women’s champion wanted to capitalise in the early part of the matchup, and she went on to lock in the figure-four.
Lana pushed her into the middle turnbuckle to take the upper hand. The attack continues on the champion, as Lana planted her with a fallaway slam. The commentary noted on the in-ring agility of Lana.

Later, Rusev was tagged in the contest and went right after Roode after kicking to his back. He continued the moves for sometimes and almost pinned him after delivering another kick to the shoulder.
Showing over-confidence, Rusev wanted to mock his opponent which cost him. He missed a flying headbutt.

Charlotte received the tag from her partner who wanted to end the contest by locking in the figure-eight. But, Lana was dragged outside by her husband. Rusev entered the match but remained unsuccessful to take their team forward in Mixed Match Challenge contest.

“Charlotte responded by engaging Rusev with a series of chops, and The Bulgarian Brute decided to mock her inability to hurt him. As he joked, however, he failed to see Roode climb back into the ring behind him. In a flash, Roode planted his surprised adversary with the Glorious DDT for the huge win.”

By this win, Charlotte Flair and Bobby Rodde emerged to the semi-final of the contest. Alexa Bliss-Braun Strowman and Asuka-The Miz have already reached to the semis. They will compete in the first semi-final of the Mixed Match Challenge, next week.
