The Miz does manage to grab the spotlight, all the time. He was the most “must-see” superstar on Smackdown Live. During the Superstar Shakeup, he was brought to the Monday Night Raw where he started his antics right from the beginning. He featured in the main event of this Monday Night’s show.
Plus, he is headlining this week’s Hollywood bulletin with the release of his upcoming Battleground movie. This would be the fifth one in this franchise. The Miz is the lead star whereas several other stars Naomi, Heath Slater, Curtis Axel and his wife, Maryse will be seen in this WWE production, as well.
Recently, the A-lister spoke to IGN.com to promote the movie. He was asked about his opinion on moving to the biggest show in WWE from Smackdown Live.
According to him, his presence on the show will be a must-see in every perspective. He also claimed that it is now the show to watch because the IT couple of the WWE will star in it. It will further help to build the ratings. Check out his comments:
“RAW’s the flagship show and obviously the flagship show needed the ratings. It needed the star power of Miz and Maryse. They brought over the “It Couple” and now it’s the show to watch.”
The former WWE champion also stated that it was their presence which made Smackdown Live a step ahead from Raw, always. Now that they are traded to Raw, they will be doing the exact same thing.
“With SmackDown Live, we made it must-see. Every week, people would tune in wondering what Miz and Maryse would do now, but now they’re doing the same exact thing with Monday Night RAW.”

The Miz indeed was an integral part of the blue brand ever since last year’s brand split. His heelish antics were always fun to watch. Fans always wanted to see him on the blue brand thinking that he might lose his panache once moving to the flagship show. Previously, the Miz quoted Raw as the ‘coveted’ show in an interview with Planeta Wrestling:
“I feel people are correct when people say SmackDown Live is the better show because it is. We as a collective group – I feel like SmackDown Live or SmackDown blue side has always been known as the second show, it’s not the baby. I feel like RAW has always been the coveted one.
